Business Organizational Consulting
I work with businesses and organizations to understand where they are, where they are trying to go, and what may be getting in the way. The work often begins with a business need, challenge, opportunity, or area that would benefit from clearer structure or direction.
Depending on the organization, this can involve business and organizational strategy, operational improvement, process evaluation, organizational development, role and responsibility clarity, research and planning, or identifying gaps and opportunities across teams and functions. I bring an outside perspective while working closely enough with the organization to understand how the business actually operates.
Engagements can be focused on a specific issue or extend across a broader organizational initiative. The goal is to develop a clear understanding of what is needed and a practical direction for moving forward.
Communications and Marketing
Effective communication starts with understanding what needs to be said, who needs to hear it, and what the organization is trying to accomplish. I work with organizations to develop communications and marketing approaches that are clear, intentional, and connected to broader business priorities.
The work can span internal and external communications, marketing, social media, content, messaging, campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and change communications. Depending on the need, my role may involve developing strategy, shaping the message, creating the content, managing execution, or bringing those pieces together as part of a larger initiative.
Whether the audience is employees, customers, leadership, stakeholders, or the broader community, the goal is to make sure communication is purposeful, consistent, and appropriate for both the audience and the organization.
Program, System, and Implementation
When an organization knows what it needs to build, improve, or put into place, I can help develop the structure and carry the work through implementation. This can include creating a new program or system, strengthening something that already exists, or bringing multiple pieces of an initiative together into a more cohesive approach.
The work can include program development, learning and training systems, operational processes, documentation and resources, implementation planning, rollout support, governance, and the coordination needed to move from development into day-to-day use.
Some engagements begin with an early idea; others begin with an established program or system that needs to be restructured, expanded, or better aligned with the organization. The scope is shaped by what needs to be built and what it will take to make it work in practice.
About
About J&J
Built on experience. Shaped by the work.
J&J Consultants is an independent consulting practice I founded while completing my Master of Communication Management at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. What began with a foundation in communications has evolved alongside my work, expanding across business operations, organizational development, marketing, training and development, systems, change management, and implementation.
My work has rarely existed within a single function. Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside executives, leadership teams, managers, employees, and cross-functional partners to develop business initiatives, build programs and systems, strengthen operations, lead communications and change efforts, and move projects from early development through implementation.
That range has shaped the way I work today. I understand how strategy connects to operations, how systems affect the people who use them, how communication influences understanding and adoption, and how implementation details can ultimately determine whether something works in practice. I’m comfortable working at both levels, seeing the larger picture while staying close enough to the work to understand what it will take to make it successful.
The perspective is at the foundation of J&J Consultants. I take the time to understand what an organization is working toward, what is already in place, and what may be needed to get there. From there, I can help shape the direction, strengthen what exists, build what’s missing, and support the work through implementation.

Our Work
Built for the organization.
Designed to work in practice.
BUSINESS OPERATIONS & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENTCreating the structure behind how organizations operate.
My work in business operations often starts with identifying where greater clarity, consistency, or structure is needed and determining what to put in place to address it. This has included developing and refining policies and procedures, defining roles and responsibilities, improving processes and workflows, organizing operational documentation, and creating the guides, tools, and resources teams rely on day to day.
Across larger initiatives, that work has expanded into building more connected operational frameworks, considering how roles, processes, policies, systems, and information work together across teams and locations. The objective is not simply to create documentation, but to establish structure that can be understood, used, and maintained throughout the organization.
PROJECT, PROGRAM, & CHANGE IMPLEMENTATIONMoving initiatives from direction and planning into practice.
My work in learning and development has evolved from building individual training programs to developing the broader structures that support how employees learn, grow, and advance within an organization. This has included role-based development, onboarding and advancement programs, learning pathways, curriculum strategy, performance and readiness measures, and the systems and resources that support consistent development across teams.
More recently, that work has expanded into the design and implementation of a comprehensive learning environment supporting multiple roles, locations, and levels of leadership. The scope has included learning strategy and architecture, LMS implementation, governance and reporting, administrative structure, and the processes needed to manage and sustain learning across the organization over time.
TRAINING, LEARNING, & DEVELOPMENTFrom individual programs to organization-wide learning infrastructure.
My marketing work has ranged from individual campaigns and content development to broader strategies designed to create greater consistency and direction across a brand. This has included marketing and content strategy, brand voice and messaging, social media, audience planning, campaign development, seasonal initiatives, community-focused communications, and developing resources that support execution across channels.
More recently, that work has expanded into long-range marketing and content planning, bringing together business priorities, audience needs, brand positioning, seasonal opportunities, and practical execution into a cohesive strategy teams can use year-round.
STRATEGIC & ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATIONSTurning business direction into communication that people can understand and act on.
Communications has been a consistent part of my work throughout my career, especially when organizations navigate change, introduce new initiatives, implement systems, or align employees and leadership around a business priority. I’ve developed communication strategies, messaging, executive and leadership communications, employee communications, stakeholder materials, and broader communication plans supporting organizational and operational initiatives.
The work extends beyond developing the message itself. It includes understanding the audience, anticipating what people need to know, deciding how and when to communicate information, preparing leaders to communicate effectively, and connecting communication to the broader work across the organization.
MARKETING, BRAND, & CONTENTCreating the strategy behind how organizations show up and connect with their audiences.
I’ve worked on initiatives that span functions, teams, systems, and leadership levels, where moving the work forward requires more than managing a timeline. These efforts have involved shaping the approach, developing programs and implementation plans, coordinating stakeholders, supporting organizational change, managing rollouts, developing communications and resources, and addressing the practical considerations that emerge as work moves into execution.
My role often sits between the larger business objective and the details required to achieve it, keeping the direction in view while bringing together the people, processes, communication, and coordination needed to carry an initiative through implementation.
STRATEGY, RESEARCH, AND BUSINESS PLANNINGBuilding direction before deciding what comes next.
Some of my work begins before a solution is defined. I’ve supported initiatives by researching the business need, evaluating what is already in place, gathering information from across teams and stakeholders, identifying gaps and opportunities, and using those findings to help determine the right direction.
That work can lead to a new program, operational change, communications strategy, marketing plan, system, or broader business initiative. The value is in bringing together the information, business context, and practical considerations needed to make informed decisions and turn an initial need or idea into a clear, workable plan.
Not sure where to begin?
You do not need to have the solutions figured out before reaching out. Tell me a little about what you are working through, what is already in place, or what you are hoping to accomplish. We can start there.
